The EVH D-Tuna is a mechanical device created by Eddie Van Halen that installs on most Floyd Rose -type bridges. It allows you to instantly change the sixth string from standard tuning (E) to Drop D (D) and vice versa, with a simple pull or push motion, without having to unlock the nut.
How it works:

  1. Tune your guitar to E standard and secure the nut clamps.
  2. To switch to Drop D, simply pull the device outwards; this releases the string tension by exactly one whole tone.
  3. To return to standard tuning, push the D-Tuna back to its original position
